Books-into-Film: Something Borrowed

In order to ease some of my boredom while I was job hunting this summer I started reading Emily Giffin’s Something Borrowed. Although I enjoy reading, it always takes me a couple chapters in to get hooked. But Giffin's plot was so intriguing after chapter 1 I could put the book down. I proudly finished the book in 2 days then went on to her next book Something Blue (read in 1 day). Personally, I enjoyed Something Borrowed more. Personally, I related more to the protagonist, Rachel, than the picture perfect Darcy. (Something Borrowed is from Rachel’s perspective & Something Blue from Darcy’s).

I'm really into reading books and then watching the film but I have found myself to be disappointed. I really hope this doesn't happen with this movie but there are bound to be discrepancies. Kate Hudson will be playing Darcy (the bride-to-be) and Ginnifer  Goodwin takes on he role of Rachel the long-life “faithful” friend. The loveable John Krasinki will be the focus of the love triangle as Ethan.

I recently finished reading another one of Giffin’s book Love the One You’re With which was an enjoyable book, did not compare to her first two. I want to continue reading more of her fiction stories (which have a lot to do with her real life- found this out by reading her bio). Her newest book is Heart of the Matter, where the protagonist is Nick, the brother of Dex (the male lead in Something Borrowed).
